Privacy policy

How LocalWeb handles information you share through this website or by email.

Updated: 7 October 2026.

For enquiries and privacy questions, contact contact@localweb.nz. This policy covers information shared through the online forms and by email.

Who is responsible

LocalWeb is operated by Muhammad ASSEGAF trading as LocalWeb, a one-person New Zealand web design and Local SEO business. Muhammad is responsible for the personal information LocalWeb collects and holds. For enquiries, access requests, corrections or privacy concerns, contact contact@localweb.nz.

Information you choose to provide

The online forms ask for your name, business name and email address. Phone number, website or Google Business Profile link, business type, service area and message are optional. The form also includes your enquiry type and preferred package. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.

Providing information is voluntary. The form requires the fields marked * so LocalWeb can identify your request and reply; it cannot send your enquiry without them. Optional details help explain what you need. Information you email directly to contact@localweb.nz is also used to respond to your request.

How enquiry information is used

  • To reply to your enquiry or free video audit request.
  • To discuss your business, confirm scope and prepare a proposal.
  • To deliver services you agree to, including optional monthly SEO where selected.

Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails. LocalWeb uses your information to respond to your request and provide services you agree to, rather than adding you to a mailing list.

Online forms and spam protection

The forms send your details through the website to LocalWeb by email. A success message means the email service has accepted the enquiry for delivery; it does not guarantee inbox placement. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for spam and may process technical information about your device, browser and network. If the security check fails, the enquiry is not sent. You can contact LocalWeb by email instead. Enquiry details are not saved in browser localStorage or in Sanity.

Website requests, fonts and analytics

These pages request fonts from Google Fonts. Visiting a page makes requests to the font provider, which may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details. See Google's Privacy Policy.

No advertising or visitor analytics script is installed in this website. Cloudflare processes technical request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested URL and request timing, for hosting, security and operational logs. LocalWeb does not deliberately log the form contents. Security services may use cookies or similar browser mechanisms where needed to protect the site.

Service providers and overseas processing

Cloudflare Workers hosts the website and processes form requests; Cloudflare Turnstile provides spam protection. Resend delivers enquiry emails to contact@localweb.nz, and MyHost hosts that mailbox. These providers receive the information needed to perform their roles and may process information outside New Zealand. Resend states that its account data, including email metadata and logs, is stored in the United States regardless of the sending region. Sanity stores website content for editing, not form enquiries. Provider privacy information is linked below.

Security and retention

LocalWeb limits access to enquiry information to the operator and service providers that need it to run the website and email service. Website form submissions use HTTPS. If an enquiry does not become a client relationship, LocalWeb deletes its enquiry emails from the mailbox three months after the last contact. Client and transaction records are kept only as needed to provide agreed services or meet legal obligations. Service-provider logs and backup copies may follow separate retention and deletion cycles under their own policies. The website does not automatically delete mailbox emails; LocalWeb carries out that deletion.

Access, correction and privacy concerns

You can ask to access or correct personal information LocalWeb holds about you, or raise a privacy concern, by emailing contact@localweb.nz. LocalWeb may need to confirm your identity before releasing information. You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, including how to raise a privacy concern.

Provider privacy information

LocalWeb will update this policy if its information-handling practices change. For privacy questions, email contact@localweb.nz. Return to website enquiries.
